A nice trip
Thank you Doug Terry for telling me that triggerfish won't chew my earlobes off!I actually had a nightmare over that one!
Just a little too guilty of a pleasure
Mix one part Rodney the Shark Guy, one part Ted Nugent, and two parts your uncle who always seems to have those tall tales, and you wind up with this wild ride through the spear-fishing haunts of Humberto Fontova.
I couldn't put it down!!!
This is probably one of the most enjoyable books I have read in the last five years. The author and his cohorts are definitely brave, almost certainly missing a few screws and possibly suicidal, but they enjoy what they are doing so much that after a while the insanity of it all doesn't seem to matter. Stories about divers diving with football helmets so they don't get knocked out on the steel beams of the oil rig and the stalking of sharks (!!) in the opaque murk at the bottom of the sea floor would seem farcical or just stupid coming from almost anyone else, but when Fontova writes it is riveting, believable and also hilarious.

Excellent text for a working Process Engineer
As a Process Engineer, working in both operations and design in the upstream oil industry, it is pleasing to find a text that finally covers all the unit operations you are likely to encounter in oil processing. The book is an easy read that doesn't get weighed down in first principles. This means that you can quickly get the information you require and have confidence in your decisions. It's a must for anyone working in the industry, especially those who may be offshore, I always have my copy with me.

This book is very useful for both Process and non process engineers working in the field and finding all kinds of surface equipment. The relation between the equipment is also very important while customeradvising because process engineering in Latin America is kind of a gameeach one plays by his own criteria and having a great weakness on equipmentavailability. Outdated links-pretty much useless information you can find anywhere
The only reason this book is 20 pages long is because the material list sheets are repeated about 5-6 times.My pages had lines through all the pictures and text-looks like it was printed on a home PC printer at the lowest resolution.If you can find your own water swivel and can get a post hole auger and weld a frame-thats all you need.Do 30 minutes of Google reearch and save your money.

Excellent Textbook
This is an excellent book for it covers most of the aspects of drilling engineering. However, in some sense it is becoming outdated; it needs additional chapters on Novell Drilling techniques (Horizontal &Underbalanced drilling, Coiled tubing Drilling, MWD) chapter on drillingmuds should go more in depth, one example of preparing drilling program andsmall completion chapter would be a definite assett for this book.

I have been able to pick up technical calculations and great drilling information that would have taken several years ofhands on experience.

This book provides a very detailed reference source for most aspects of drilling engineering. It covers everything from bit design to hydraulics to derived burst, collapse and tension equations for casing design. could use a good proofreadin'
The book explained the field well, but it referred, more than once, to a non-existant 'further reading' section. It also referred to a list of acronyms, supposedly containted within, which wasn't in the book either. It could really use an editor. Could use a good proofreadin'
