Nothing Glowing Here
As the title of this anthology makes all too obvious, the essays in this volume are little more than a rehearsal of hackneyed, misinformed myths about radiation and nuclear materials. The authors seem to flaunt their almost complete ignorance of the subject they are addressing as a mark of virtue. The only redeeming aspect of this book is that it demonstrates the remarkable similarity between the attitudes of the academic left and the Christian right toward scientific matters which they are unwilling to understand or incapable of comprehending. ... Corporate Propaganda
If you like reading corporate propaganda, this is your book.

Excellent, readible text on why nuclear energy is needed.
This book is the best I have read on nuclear power written for the reader with no to little technical background.The author, a former president of the American Nuclear Society, addresses all the common arguments usedagainst nuclear energy.His arguments are clearly presented withinformative tables and figures.

A must read for all human being
This book addresses many issues concern nuclear power very clearly and directly in simple non-technical language.It should be read by everybody for better understanding of its constructive potential and tremendous practical advantages over other conventional energy sources.No matter you are pro or con nuclear power, everyone should give this quick-read book a try.
Great introduction to a nuclear power
The book was a short, concise, fact filled introduction to nuclear power and its history. This book was logical and easy to read and nobody should be afraid of reading it because of its scientific and technical content. One major point of the book is that nuclear power is extremely safe and clean compared to its fossil fuel based alternatives. It also debunks the many falsehoods and myths the anti-nuclear power movement have succeded to spread. A very convincing and important book. Nuclear power may actually save us from the great disaster. Don't judge the previous statement before reading the book. I am personally very impressed! Probably one of the best books on renewables ever written.
