Excelent reference book
This book on solvent extraction is a very good one as far as the actual content goes. However, upon reading it and having students to use it as their sole aid for learning solvent extraction, it may be a littledifficult to penetrate. The different authors, each excellent chemists andmasters of solvent extraction, have written different chapters and it issometimes difficult to see the red line of the subject. If the book is usedas a reference book for people already understanding the principles ofsolvent extraction and they only want to have some detailed questionanswered, this book is very good. For the case of teaching solventextraction, my recommendation is to use this book and complement it withdetailed lectures to give students the chain of events and explanationsthat are needed upon learning a new subject. ...
