Great Introduction to Aerodynamics
This book is well laid out with plenty of diagrams to explain its concepts.There are some equations, but they aren't necessary to understanding everything in the book.I believe someone who has taken High School Algebra could take away a lot from this book.It does have a few differential equations, but that's definitely for the advanced reader and not required unless you're designing a car.

the best book i have ever read!
Like R. Trulov said, this book can appear extremely challenging at first. The fact that it is titled "Introduction to Internal Combustion Engines" makes you feel stupid and overwhelmed at first. If this is the introduction whats coming up next!!
REVIEW
The book is really hard to read.Much of the information is not explained in needed detail.Prelimenary courses should be taken or books read, in thermodynamics, to be able to understand that stuff.However, even with a good thermodynamic background, the book is hard to understand, even as a sumplement to the ICE course.

Insightful !
This is a great manufacturing love story in which Toyota, an automaker clearly in love with its product, decides to go after the U.S. luxury car buyer, a suitor who has repeatedly ignored its advances. To get America's attention, Toyota must first re-invent itself. It must make itself more handsome (through better styling), improve its physique (be faster, stronger and need less maintenance) and prove its financial management skill (by selling great cars for less). Because time is fleeting and the buyer has many other suitors (Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Nissan, Volvo), Toyota must work fast before its intended lover makes an irrevocable decision and buys someone else's car. How to RestoreClassic Farmall Tractors
This is a very informative book with lots of good color photos and descriptive, but not model specific info on evaluating,tear down,inspecting and repairing componants. Each chapter is devoted to a seperate componant or system. The paint chapter focuses on selecting different types of paint,primers,sealers. There are suggestions on selecting and applying decals. I found a nice appendix with contact info for parts suppliers and clubs. I didn't see much about tractors made after the late 50's. This book would be a great companion to a detailed shop manual for someone who has little or no experience working on tractors. There is also a chapter that gives ideas on tools and tool selection.

Chilton's 1991-98 Saturn Coupes Manual
The main reason why I purchased the book was to aid me in replacing the clutch on a 1995 Saturn SL. As it turns out the section in the book about clutch replacement is very weak and they should really add much more detail on how to do the repair.

Don't knock Haynes book
Have a 1992 SL2 with an A/C problem Chilton had no information (as usual) Haynes had complete diagnosis and repair!

A must have if you work on your Saturn.

General information in a poor quality print.
Having bought the Pontiac Firebird guide a few months earlier, I had high expectations on this book. I got it hoping it wouls help me with my Pathfinder. From the beggining I knew this book was meant for the US and Canada versions of the car. My car version is the Japanese.
Good information poorly printed
The information in the book is difficult to read because of the poor printing and cheap paper.Data tables are almost unreadable and the B&W pictures are fuzzy.The Haynes publication has all the same information pinted clearly with good pictures.

Useless book for me
I bought this book and promptly returned it after it did nothing to help me troubleshoot 2 different electrical problems.It provides partial wiring diagrams but does not give the specs on the various sending units so you can hook up a multitester and see whether or not they work.Read more

The comprehensive guide to custom interiors.
A colour guide to customizing the interior of any vehicle.This book is a step by step guide(and in colour)from designing to completing your interior.Even though the book shows various hot rods the techniques apply to any vehicle.This is a comprehensive guide and is great value for the money.This should be your first book on customising interiors.There are plenty of books that cover other areas of car restoration to add to your collection.
Probably the best automotive book I have ever read!
Yes, the best, bar none.If you're a veteran like me, there were probably guys in your crowd who could do engines, trannys, paint/bodywork, even a little electrical.But nobody, NOBODY had a clue on how to do the interior.This book reveals the secrets and the inside tips step by step, easy to follow, and yet, not tedious.Quite the contrary, it is an enjoyable read full of discovery.Even if you only have basic skills like cutting plywood with a saber saw, you can probably put together a great interior for your car armed only with patience and this book.And that goes for new cars too- the techniques are totally up to date.The fact that they are illustrated on hot rods doesn't mean they won't work on the latest models.You just have to be thoughtful and creative, and anything is possible.Most Highly Recommended.

This book took a lot of the mystery out of building custom interiors for me (a beginner). It covers a broad range of things, from building seats and door panels to headliners. Check out the table of contents. The authors obviously work mostly on hot rods but you can apply this knowledge to building interiors for newer cars. It doesn't go into extreme detail, (it wouldn't really be feasible to do so!) but it delivers on it's promise. I really like these Motorbook workshop series.These guys are taking automobile how-to books to a new level.This one is really good and ranks up there with those written by Don Taylor on upholstery/interior subject matter.I found this and his books make a strong basis for doing upholstery for the do-it yourselfer.I needed these books for my airplane, but the process is pretty much the same for an auto and these are really the only things out there.
